Before you start

You undo one image at a time, from its page. There’s no button that undoes every image at once.

Step by step

  1. Open Apps › IFG WebP Image Optimizer › Images.
  2. In the filter menu choose Converted.
  3. Click the image’s name.

What you’ll see: in the Convert to WebP box the status Converted, the sentence “You can undo at any time: we put everything back as it was and the conversion is given back to you.” and the button Undo conversion.

Warning: after the click, customers see the original file again in every place where the app had moved it.

  4. Press Undo conversion.

What you’ll see: “Undone: products, pages, articles and collections use the original file again.”. The status goes back to To convert.

What happens after the undo

If something goes wrong

“Undone, except in one text where the reference to this image was changed after the conversion” appears. After the conversion someone edited that very reference in the text. The app leaves that text alone so as not to wipe out the edit. If you want the original there too, fix the text by hand in Shopify Admin.

“The undo did not succeed on one product or piece of content” appears. Press Undo conversion again. If it keeps happening, write to support with the file name.

“There is nothing to undo.” appears. The image isn’t recorded as converted: there’s nothing to put back.
