Convert all your images
At a glance
- What you get
- Every image still to convert in WebP, without opening them one by one.
- Time
- depends on the number of images
- Plan
- Free up to 100 images, Unlimited with no cap
Before you start
- The catalog must be scanned: Scan your catalog.
- You’ve tried at least one single conversion and you’re happy with the result: Convert a single image.
- On the Free plan you can convert 100 images in total. To go further you need Unlimited: Plans and billing.
How it works
“Convert all” converts the images one after another, while the page stays open. Each image goes the same way as a single conversion. There’s no job running in the background: if you close the page, the conversion stops and you pick it up when you come back.
Step by step
-
Open Apps › IFG WebP Image Optimizer › Convert all. Or press Convert all on the Overview.
What you’ll see: the title Convert all and the sentence “Every image still to convert, one after the other”. Below: “N images to convert”, an explanation, a progress bar with “0 of N” and the counters “Converted: 0 · Skipped: 0 · Not converted: 0”. On the Free plan there’s also “On the Free plan you can still convert N.”.
-
Read the two notes at the bottom: “Keep this page open…” and “While conversion is running, don’t edit the products.”.
Warning: each converted image immediately changes what customers see and, on the Free plan, uses one of the 100 conversions. Every image can be undone, but one at a time.
-
Press Convert N images.
What you’ll see: “Converting:” followed by the file name, the bar moving forward and the counters going up. The button becomes Stop.
-
Leave the page open until the end. If you try to close it, the browser asks you to confirm.
What you’ll see: at the end the green Done box with “We went through every image in this list.”. If some images didn’t convert, the list Images not converted appears below, with a link for each one.
Stop and resume
-
Press Stop. The app finishes the image in progress and then stops.
What you’ll see: “Paused. You can resume whenever you want.” and the button Resume.
-
Press Resume to continue from where you were.
If you closed the page, open it again from Convert all: the new list leaves out the images already converted.
When it stops on its own
- “You reached the 100 images of the Free plan”. The others stay as they are. Press See plans to move to Unlimited.
- “We can’t read your plan”. The app stopped so as not to convert beyond your plan. Try again in a moment.
- “We stopped”. Five images in a row didn’t convert. Try again in a moment; if it keeps happening, write to support.
When an image fails because of a temporary problem, the app waits a few seconds and tries it again, up to three times, before moving to the next one.
Converted images to update
Sometimes “N converted images to update” appears with the button Update N images. It happens when a more recent scan found an image that was already converted in a new place, for example a page written after the conversion. The button moves only those places to the WebP file. These updates don’t count towards your plan.
If something goes wrong
I see “Scan your catalog first”. Press Go to the overview: the Overview opens. Press Scan the catalog and then come back here.
I see “Nothing to convert”. Every image in the last scan is already WebP or already converted. If you’ve uploaded new ones, scan again.
Some images are in the “Images not converted” list. Click the name: the image’s page says why. Images that weren’t converted remain to convert.
The store has more than 20,000 images. The page reads 20,000 of them and says so at the bottom; the others stay as they are for now.
