Before you start
Analytics, the PDF report and CSV export are included in the Grow and Unlimited plans. On the Free plan the Analytics page shows “Unlock Returns Analytics” with the Upgrade to Grow button, and on the Returns page the buttons are grey with the Grow → pill.
The Analytics page
- Go to Apps › IFG Returns › Analytics.
- In the Period menu choose “Last 7 days”, “Last 30 days”, “Last 90 days” or “Custom”.
-
With “Custom”, pick the dates in From and To and click Apply.
What you’ll see: numbers and charts update for the chosen period. Under each number is the comparison “vs previous period”.
What you find on the page:
- Total returns: how many requests arrived in the period.
- Approval rate: the share of requests approved.
- Average processing time: how many days, on average, you take to decide on a request.
- Recorded refunds: the sum of refunded amounts. As the note under the number says, it only counts cases with a manually recorded amount.
- Average returned item value.
- Full vs partial returns: how many requests cover the whole order and how many only some items.
- The charts Trend over time, Breakdown by status and Most common reasons. Under each chart, Show values opens the numbers in a table.
If there are no requests in the period you see “No returns in this period”. With a very large number of requests you may see the notice “Data limited to the latest … returns in the selected period.”.
Download the PDF report
- Go to Apps › IFG Returns › Returns.
-
At the top, click Download report.
What you’ll see: the “Export Summary Report” window.
- In Time range choose “Last 30 days”, “Last 7 days”, “This month” or “Custom” (and then the dates).
- In Status filter choose which cases to include, or keep “All”.
-
Click Generate PDF report.
What you’ll see: the report opens in a new browser tab. From there you can save or print it.
If your browser blocks new tabs, allow pop-ups for the Shopify admin and try again.
Export the list to CSV
- On Returns, set the search and the Processing status filter if you want: the export follows the filters.
-
Click Export CSV.
What you’ll see: the browser downloads a file named
recessi_followed by your store name, with the columns Order, Date received, Customer, Email, Address, ZIP code, City, Status and Notes. The column names follow the language of the app; the values in the Status column stay the internal ones (for example Approvato).
The file opens in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets.
Warning: the file contains customers’ personal data (names, emails, addresses). Store it somewhere safe and don’t share it more than necessary.
The PDF receipt of a single case
In a case’s details, section Order Correspondence, the Download PDF receipt ↗ button opens the withdrawal receipt (Grow and Unlimited plans). The customer can download their own receipt at the end of the form, on every plan.
Troubleshooting
The Export CSV button is grey. No case matches the filters, or you are on the Free plan.
The report doesn’t open. The browser blocked the new tab. Allow pop-ups and click Generate PDF report again.
