- What happens when a visitor taps the button: WhatsApp, Telegram, channel menu or AI chatbot.
- AI chatbot
- The assistant that answers visitors’ questions on its own, in writing, using your store’s content.
- App embed
- A toggle in the theme editor that switches an app on across every page of your store. This app’s one is called IFG AI Chat Widget.
- Catalogue indexing
- The reading of products, collections, policies and pages that the app does so the chatbot can answer.
- Conversation
- A chat between a visitor and the AI chatbot, from the first message on. It counts once towards the monthly limit.
- CSV
- A text file with data in columns, which opens in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets.
- Data controller
- Whoever decides why and how personal data is used: for your store’s visitors, that’s you.
- Draft
- A knowledge base entry that is saved but not used by the chatbot until you publish it.
- Free trial
- The 7 days when you use Grow or Unlimited without paying, once per store.
- Knowledge base
- The list of questions and answers the chatbot uses on top of your store’s content.
- Launcher
- The widget’s round button, in the corner of the page.
- Lead
- The email a visitor leaves in the chat, with their consent, when the chatbot can’t answer.
- Live store
- Your store as customers see it, with the active theme, not the editor preview.
- Plan
- The app subscription level: Free, Grow or Unlimited (500 conversations/month).
- Policies
- The store rules you write in Shopify: returns, shipping, privacy and terms.
- Published
- A knowledge base entry the chatbot uses to answer.
- Safety limit
- A daily and monthly cap on automatic scans and on the app’s help assistant, to prevent unusual use.
- Screen reader
- Software that reads web pages aloud for blind or partially sighted people.
- Shopify Admin
- The panel where you manage your store: products, orders, apps and themes.
- Standard Contractual Clauses
- Model contracts approved by the European Commission for transferring personal data outside the European Union with proper safeguards.
- Telegram username
- The name that identifies you on Telegram, the one others search for with @ in front.
- Theme editor
- The Shopify screen where you change how your store looks (Online Store › Themes › Customize).
- Widget
- The contact button the app adds to your store, with the AI chat when it’s active.
