To open Settings, tap the round button with the gear at the top right of the home screen. To close it, tap Done at the top right. The items come in this order.
The plan box
At the top you see Scontrik Free or Scontrik Pro.
- On the free plan it says how many proofs you’ve used, for example «5 of 20 free proofs used», and the See Pro button opens the plans page.
- With Pro there is the Manage subscription button, which opens Apple’s subscription management.

Reminders
Notifications. Tells you whether Scontrik may send you notifications. If it says On, all is well. If Turn on appears as a button, tap it to give permission. If Open Settings appears, permission was denied: tap it and turn on notifications on Scontrik’s page in the iPhone settings. Without notifications you get no reminders.
Return rules. Opens the list of return rules and warranty lengths you asked Scontrik to remember for each store. You can delete them one by one. See Warranties, returns and reminders.
Remind me. How many days before a warranty ends the reminder arrives: 7, 14, 30 or 60 days. It starts at 30 days. If you change it, Scontrik reschedules the warranty reminders already set. Each warranty can still have its own lead time, chosen in the Warranty window.
Appearance
Chooses the app’s colours: System (follows the iPhone, the starting value), Light or Dark.
Scanning
Capture mode. How Scontrik’s camera takes the picture. Auto captures by itself as soon as the document is steady. Assisted finds the document and waits for you to tap: this is the starting value. Manual doesn’t look for the document: you frame it and tap. Try Manual if the camera doesn’t pick up the edges of the sheet well.
Capture sound. Plays a shutter sound when a page is captured. On to start with.
Smart reading
This isn’t a switch: it tells you how your iPhone reads documents.
- On: Apple Intelligence reads your proofs on this iPhone. Your data never leaves your device.
- Basic: the app reads the text only. Below it you see why, for example that iOS 27 is needed, that the iPhone doesn’t support Apple Intelligence, that Apple Intelligence must be turned on in the iPhone settings, or that it doesn’t support your language yet.
Either way Scontrik works, and doubtful details stay To check.
Backup
With Pro: Choose a folder (then the name of the chosen folder), Back up now, Back up automatically (off until you turn it on), Last backup and Stop backing up. Without Pro you see Backup to a folder with the Pro label. All the steps are in Export, back up and restore.
Privacy
Lock the app. Off to start with. If you turn it on, Scontrik asks for Face ID (or Touch ID) or the iPhone passcode every time it opens, with the «Scontrik is locked» screen and the Unlock button. With the lock on, also:
- purchases leave Spotlight search;
- names disappear from widgets;
- reminder notifications don’t show the purchase name;
- Siri doesn’t list warranties by name.
A passcode must be set on the iPhone: if there isn’t one, you see «Set a passcode on this device to use the app lock.»
Search and Siri
Show purchases in Spotlight. Off to start with. If you turn it on, names, stores and dates can appear in the iPhone’s search; amounts never do. Turn it off to remove them.
Show names in widgets. Off to start with. If you turn it on, warranty names can appear on the Home Screen and the Lock Screen. Leave it off if others can see your phone.

Your data
- Stored only on this device: a reminder of where your data lives.
- Export all data: creates the ZIP with all your proofs and data. Free.
- For the accountant: the spreadsheet for the year.
- Inventory for insurance: the PDF of what you own.
- Restore from a backup: gets purchases back from a backup folder or an export.
- Recently deleted: purchases deleted in the last 30 days, with Restore, Erase now and Erase all. The number next to it says how many.
- Delete all data: erases everything from the phone (see below).
The first four are explained in Export, back up and restore.
Watch out: Delete all data asks for confirmation with Delete all data? and then Delete everything. It removes from the phone all proofs, values, reminders, saved rules and also Recently deleted. This can’t be undone. Export first if you want a copy. See Delete your data and the app.
Help

- Contact support: opens an email already addressed to info@ifgecommerce.com, with the app and iOS versions already written at the bottom.
Diagnostics
Performance reports. Anonymous performance data from iOS, kept on the phone. It is never sent anywhere unless you share it. If support asks you to, tap Share latest report.
About
- Version: the app version. Mention it when you contact support.
- No tracking, no ads: Scontrik has no ads and doesn’t track you.
- Restore purchases: gets back the Pro subscription bought with the same Apple ID, for example on a new iPhone.
