Getting started
Italiano · Deutsch · Français · Español · Português
IFG Reviews (IFG Recensioni in Italian) collects, moderates and publishes reviews of your products and of your store, inside your Shopify admin. It is built for small and medium Shopify stores, with the admin and the customer emails in six languages: Italian, English, German, French, Spanish and Portuguese.
What it does
- Asks for reviews. After an order is fulfilled, the customer gets an email asking for a review of what they bought, with a link tied to that purchase.
- Marks real purchases. A review written from that link is a Verified purchase. The mark is granted by the app from the order and cannot be set by hand, by you or by anyone else.
- Lets you decide. Every new review waits for your approval. You can publish, hide, mark as spam or archive it, and reply to it publicly.
- Shows reviews on your store. Theme blocks show ratings, a review grid, a carousel and an “all reviews” page, and add rating structured data for search engines.
- Moves your data in and out. Import from a Judge.me export or a CSV with a preview first, and export your reviews at any time. See Migration.
What it does not do: it does not promise more sales or stars in Google, it does not use artificial intelligence on your reviews, and it does not change your theme’s files.
What you need
- A Shopify store with an Online Store 2.0 theme. Blocks are added from the theme editor, which older themes do not offer for app blocks. Shopify’s own free themes from the Theme Store are an example. The theme editor shows whether your theme can take the blocks: if the block is not offered, the theme is too old.
- The permissions the app asks for when you install it. They are listed with their reasons in Installation.
Plans
The plan is chosen and paid on Shopify: the plan buttons in the app lead to Shopify’s plan page. Paid plans start with a 7-day free trial that you can cancel at any time. Prices are in US dollars.
| Free | Grow | Unlimited | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price | Free | 9.99 USD per month, or 99.90 USD per year | 19.99 USD per month, or 199.90 USD per year |
| Review requests per month | 50 | 500 | 2,500 |
| Photo storage | 100 MB | 1 GB | 10 GB |
| One reminder for customers who did not answer | No | Yes | Yes |
| Send requests from your own email domain | No | Yes | Yes |
| Widgets, moderation, replies, structured data | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Import from Judge.me or CSV, export | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Good to know:
- No overage charges. If you use up the month’s review requests, new ones wait instead of being sent, and you are never billed beyond your plan.
- Downgrading never deletes your reviews.
- Photo storage applies once photo uploads are active on your store. Check Settings → Diagnostics → Photos in reviews to see whether they are.
Your first steps
The app opens on Overview. Its menu has Overview, Reviews, Products, Requests, Settings, Plans and Help. The Guided setup page (linked from Overview) walks you through the rest:
- Installation and language. Choose the language of the app in your admin.
- Product sync. Import your catalogue so each review can be tied to the right product.
- Review import. Bring in the reviews you already have, if any.
- Collection rules. Choose when the request goes out after an order is shipped.
- Email sender. Send yourself a test email.
- Theme widget. Add the review blocks to your theme.
Details for each step are in Installation.
