Terms of service
Last revision: 6 October 2026 · Italiano
These terms govern your use of the IFG Reviews app (“the app”, IFG Recensioni in Italian), published by IFG eCommerce, a sole proprietorship of Francesco Guiducci, Via Giacinto Pullino 72, 00154 Rome, Italy, VAT IT16879681001, info@ifgecommerce.com (“we”, “us”).
They apply to you as a merchant installing the app on your Shopify store. They do not replace your agreement with Shopify, and they are not legal advice.
These terms apply from the moment you install the app, whichever way you got it.
What the app does
The app helps you collect, moderate and publish reviews of your products and your store:
- review requests sent to your customers by email after an order is fulfilled, and a public form to write a review, with photos (video is not supported);
- moderation: a new review waits for your approval by default, and you can publish, hide or archive it, mark it as spam and reply to it publicly;
- questions from your customers on product pages, published with your answer after your approval;
- blocks for your theme, added from the theme editor, that show the stars, the reviews, the questions and other review displays on your storefront, with optional structured data (JSON-LD);
- optional extras you switch on, such as a review link on the order confirmation page, Shopify Flow triggers and a review feed for Google;
- import from Judge.me, Yotpo or a CSV file, and a full export of your reviews, available at any time.
It is an operational tool. It helps you run your reviews; what you publish, and the obligations that come with publishing it, are and remain yours.
What the app does not guarantee
This section matters. Please read it.
- No commercial results. We do not guarantee sales, conversions, traffic, search ranking, a particular rating, or any other business outcome. Search engines decide whether and how they show stars next to your products, and no app can guarantee it. We do not guarantee that your reviews appear on Google or on any other third-party service.
- No guarantee of legal compliance. The app is built to support good practice with reviews and with customer emails, but whether your store complies with the law that applies to you remains your full responsibility. If in doubt, consult a qualified professional.
- No uninterrupted or error-free service. Software has bugs and services have downtime. We work to keep the app running well, but we do not promise it will always be available or always behave correctly, and we do not offer a service level agreement.
Verified reviews
A review gets the Verified purchase mark only when the app can tie it to a real order of your store. The mark is granted by the system: nobody can set it by hand, not you and not us. Reviews from the public form without that proof, and imported reviews, are not marked as verified.
Your responsibilities
- Authentic reviews. You do not write, buy or invent reviews, and you do not use the app to publish reviews that do not come from real customers. You do not publish only the favourable reviews you receive: hiding a review for being negative while keeping similar positive ones is not what the moderation tools are for. Use of the app that deceives your customers or breaks Shopify’s requirements can lead to suspension.
- Requests to your customers. You decide who is asked for a review. You are responsible for having a valid legal basis for those emails, for the information you give your customers, and for the sender and reply-to details you set. The app records opt-outs and does not send to people who have opted out; it does not replace your own obligations.
- What you import. You only import reviews you have the right to import and use.
- Your account. The accuracy of the settings, texts and details you enter, and the security of access to your Shopify admin.
- Informing your customers about the processing of their data, as the law requires of you, and about how the reviews you show are collected and checked, where consumer law requires it (for example art. 22(5-bis) of the Italian Consumer Code).
Customer data
For the data of your customers that the app processes (names, email addresses, order references, reviews and photos), you are the controller and IFG eCommerce is the processor, acting on your behalf. We process that data only to provide the app’s features, following your documented instructions given through the app and these terms, and never for our own purposes. See the Privacy and data page for what is processed and how.
To provide the app we use services operated by third parties, among them Shopify, Google Cloud, an email delivery provider and, for the in-app support chat, an AI provider; no customer data or review content is sent to the support chat. We choose them with care, but outages, changes or failures of those services are outside our control and we are not responsible for them.
If your organisation needs a data processing agreement in a separate document, write to info@ifgecommerce.com.
Plans, billing and cancellation
The app has a free plan and paid plans. Paid plans are billed by Shopify, through Shopify’s app pricing, on the plan you choose; the plans, what each includes and their prices are shown in the app and when you choose a plan, and are the ones in force when you subscribe.
Plans have monthly limits on review requests and a limit on stored photos. The app does not create extra charges when you reach a limit: it warns you as you get close and, at the limit, holds back the next sends until the next month or until you change plan.
You can change or cancel your plan at any time from the app or from your Shopify admin. Cancelling stops future charges and does not create a right to a refund of amounts already charged, except where the law or Shopify’s rules require one. A downgrade or a cancellation never deletes the reviews you already have: it limits the paid features while you are on the lower plan, and your export stays available.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end access if the app is used unlawfully, in a way that harms the service or other merchants, or in breach of these terms. Export your reviews before uninstalling if you want to keep them. On uninstall, data is handled as described on the Privacy and data page.
Limitation of liability
You use the app at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost sales or orders, loss of customers, loss of reputation, or business interruption, whether or not such damages were foreseeable;
- our total liability for direct damages is limited to the total amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law. In particular they do not cover our own wilful misconduct or gross negligence, and they do not affect any liability towards data subjects or any other mandatory statutory liability.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app evolves. The date at the top of this page identifies the text in force. When a change is material, we will tell you before it applies to you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Italian law. For disputes, the courts of Rome, Italy have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory rule that gives jurisdiction elsewhere.
These terms are published in Italian and in English. In case of any discrepancy between the two, the Italian version prevails.
