Privacy Policy

What stays on your device

• The original files you add (photos, scans, PDFs) and the values read from them (merchant, date, total, currency, warranty details, notes).
• Your settings and, if you enable them, reminders (local notifications).
• Anonymous performance reports produced by the operating system (MetricKit). They are stored on your device and are sent nowhere unless you choose to share them.

Features that stay on your device

• Face ID / passcode lock: handled by iOS; the app only learns whether unlocking succeeded.
• Siri, Spotlight, widgets and reminders: if you use them, the app shares purchase names (your label or the store), store, category and purchase date with iOS on your device so you can find them; reminder notifications show the purchase name; widgets show names only if you allow it, never amounts. With the app lock on, none of them shows names. Deleted purchases are removed from them.
• Recently deleted: a purchase you delete stays on the device for 30 days so you can restore it, then it is erased. “Delete all data” erases it immediately.
• Password-protected PDFs: the password is used once to read a copy without the password, which is kept next to your original and included in exports and backups. The password itself is never stored.

Backup to a folder you choose (Pro)

If you turn it on, the app writes a backup copy (your original files and a list of your purchases, not encrypted) into a folder you pick in the Files app (for example iCloud Drive, Dropbox or Google Drive) and updates it when you open the app. The app does not connect to those services: the provider you chose syncs the copy under its own terms and privacy policy. You can turn this off at any time.

How receipts are read

Reading happens on your device using Apple’s text recognition and, on supported iPhones, Apple’s on-device model. Your receipts are not uploaded to us or to any third party for reading.

Permissions

• Camera: only to scan documents you choose to add.
• Photos: only the items you pick.
• Notifications: only for warranty reminders you set.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive no payment details from you. Apple’s own terms and privacy policy apply to purchases.

Backups and your control

Because data lives on your device, it may be included in your device backups according to your Apple settings. You can export everything (a ZIP with your original files, JSON and CSV) or delete everything at any time from Settings in the app. Deleting the app removes its data from the device. “Delete all data” erases everything inside the app; copies you exported or the backup folder you picked are yours and are not touched.

Children

The app is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect any data from anyone.

Since we do not hold your personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct or erase on our side. If you have questions or believe otherwise, write to info@ifgecommerce.com.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above. If we ever introduce features that involve sending data off your device, we will ask for your consent first.
