Terms of Service
Version 1.0 — Last revised: October 2026
These terms govern your use of the IFG GEO Optimizer app (“the app”), published by IFG eCommerce, a sole proprietorship of Francesco Guiducci based in Rome, Italy (“we”, “us”).
They apply to you as a merchant installing the app on your Shopify store. They do not replace your agreement with Shopify, and they are not legal advice.
What the app does
The app helps you make your product catalog easier for AI search engines to read and quote. In practice: a catalog audit with fixes for missing schema.org structured data (written to a product metafield), generation of llms.txt, llms-full.txt, agents.md and Organization schema, a crawler simulator, a content chunking score, AI-assisted FAQ drafts and content rewrites that are published only after you approve them, internal-linking analysis (Link Coach), weekly AI visibility tracking on prompts you choose, an anonymous AI-referral traffic pixel, a competitor comparison, an in-app AI support chat and, on eligible plans, an MCP server for AI agents.
It is an operational tool. It helps you with work that remains yours.
What the app does not guarantee
This section matters. Please read it.
- No commercial or AI-visibility results. We do not guarantee that ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Google AI Overviews or any other engine will read, cite, quote or recommend your store or products, nor any ranking, traffic, sales, conversions or other business outcome. Those engines are run by third parties, decide independently and change without notice.
- Scores and measurements are indicative. Audit findings, scores, crawler simulations and visibility tracking describe the data and the checks of a given moment. AI answers vary from one run to the next: a mention, or the lack of one, is not proof of how your store is treated.
- AI-generated text can be wrong. FAQ drafts and rewritten descriptions are produced by AI models and may contain errors or omissions. You review them, and you remain responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of what you publish in your store.
- No professional advice, no guarantee of compliance. Nothing in the app is legal, tax or other professional advice, and the app does not guarantee that your store complies with any rule.
- No uninterrupted or error-free service. Software has bugs and services have downtime. We work to keep the app running well, but we do not promise it will always be available or always behave correctly.
Your responsibilities
- Reviewing FAQs and rewritten descriptions before you approve them, and checking your catalog after changes.
- The accuracy of the company details, return and shipping policies and any other setting you enter in the app.
- Using the crawler simulator and the competitor comparison only on public pages you are entitled to access, and not to overload third-party sites.
- Remembering that what the app publishes for crawlers —
llms.txt,llms-full.txt,agents.md, structured data and the storefront FAQ — is public by nature: do not put confidential information in it. - Choosing which AI clients you connect to the MCP server, and answering for how you use the data it exposes to them.
- Using the app within the limits of your plan and without abusing it: no circumventing plan limits, no using the support chat as a general-purpose AI service, no reverse engineering, no attacks on the service.
- Complying with Shopify’s own terms for your store.
Limitation of liability
You use the app at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost sales or orders, loss of customers, loss of reputation, or business interruption — whether or not such damages were foreseeable.
These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law. In particular they do not cover our own wilful misconduct or gross negligence (Article 1229 of the Italian Civil Code), and they do not affect any liability towards data subjects under Article 82 GDPR, or any other mandatory statutory liability.
Services we depend on
The app runs on, and communicates with, services operated by third parties — Shopify, Google Cloud, AI model providers, and an email delivery provider. Outages, changes or failures in those services are outside our control, and we are not responsible for them. The Privacy Policy lists them and explains how data is handled.
Data and privacy
How personal data is processed is described in the Privacy Policy. These terms do not change it. The app does not request personal data of your customers.
Plans, billing and cancellation
The app has three plans: Free, Grow and Unlimited. Grow and Unlimited are billed through Shopify’s Billing API, in USD, monthly or annually, on the plan you select in the app. Prices, included features and monthly usage limits are listed on the Pricing page and in the app. Grow and Unlimited include a 7-day free trial as described on the Pricing page; Shopify’s confirmation screen shows the terms before you approve any charge. Any change of plan or price requires your approval through Shopify.
You can change or cancel your plan at any time from Pricing in the app or from your Shopify admin; changes take effect immediately. Cancellation stops future charges and does not create a right to a refund of amounts already charged, except where the law requires one.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate access if the app is used unlawfully, in a way that harms the service or other merchants, or in breach of these terms. On uninstall, data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app evolves. The version and date at the top of this page always identify the text in force. If you continue to use the app after a change, you accept the updated text; if you do not agree, you can uninstall the app.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Italian law. For disputes, the courts of Rome, Italy have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory rule that gives jurisdiction elsewhere.
These terms are published in several languages. In case of any discrepancy between versions, the Italian version prevails.
