How the fixed price works

Each box is a real Shopify product whose price is the pack price you set. When the box enters the cart, Shopify expands it into the real products the customer chose (a Shopify Cart Transform function). The price paid is the pack price; no Shopify discount is created. A discount code that applies to the box product works as a separate promotion on the pack price.

Rules enforced in the cart

Shopify checks every box in the cart against the rules you saved:

• only the products you allowed;
• minimum and maximum number of items;
• maximum quantity per variant;
• minimum and maximum per collection;
• the box must be published from the app.

If any rule fails, the box is not added. Editing the cart by hand, or activating the box product directly in Shopify, does not bypass these checks.

Inventory and fulfillment

Inventory and fulfillment apply to the real products chosen by the customer, exactly as if they were bought one by one.

Collections as sources

When you save a box, the app reads the variants of the selected collections. If you change the products in a collection later, open the box and save it again to update the list.

Analytics

Analytics show, for each box, how many options are available or sold out, whether the minimum can still be reached, the estimated retail value and the maximum customer saving. They also show the boxes sold and the revenue from the order lines of the last 60 days (products, quantities and amounts), without customer data.

What the app does not do

• It does not read customer data (names, emails, phone numbers, addresses) and does not store orders: Analytics reads only the order lines of the last 60 days and computes the totals each time you open the page.
• It does not modify your theme code: the builder is a theme app block you add in the Theme Editor.
• It does not create Shopify discounts.
• It does not require Shopify Plus: it works on Basic, Grow and Advanced with an Online Store 2.0 theme.
