Privacy Policy
In short
GymLeader does not collect personal data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party software for those purposes. Your workouts, routines, settings and profile stay on your iPhone and your Apple Watch.

What the app stores on your device
- workouts, sets, loads, rests, notes and history;
- routines, programs, custom exercises, your gym and equipment;
- settings (units, rests, notifications, appearance) and your profile, with an optional name;
- a random device identifier, used only to avoid duplicates when syncing between iPhone and Apple Watch.
If you choose a profile photo, a reduced-size image is saved on your iPhone and included in backups you create. It is not sent to IFG, AI providers or the Watch. You can change or remove it in your profile; removal does not erase copies in backups already exported.
This data is not sent to us. Apple Watch syncs directly with your iPhone; widgets and the Live Activity read a local copy shared between the apps on the same device.
Health (Apple Health)
If you allow it, GymLeader saves the strength workouts you finish to Health. To avoid saving the same workout twice it reads your workouts; on Apple Watch it can read heart rate during a workout you start. Health data stays on your device, is not sent to us, is not shared with third parties and is not used for advertising. You can revoke access in Settings › Health.
Notifications
The rest-over alert and the training-day reminders are local notifications planned on your iPhone. There is no notification server. You can turn them off, and turn their sound off, in Account › Notifications or in iOS Settings.
Backup, export and import
Backups and CSV files are created on the device. You decide where to save them or who to share them with (Files, iCloud Drive, AirDrop…). You can protect a backup with a passphrase. Erasing data in the app does not delete files you already saved elsewhere.
Artificial intelligence: only if you choose
GymLeader contains no AI of its own and never uses keys or credits from IFG. It prepares a text (a brief) from the details you choose and that you see in full before sharing it. There are three ways to use it, all optional:
- Copy and paste into your own AI assistant: the brief leaves the app only when you copy or share it; from then on the service you chose handles it under its own terms.
- With your own API key: if you add a key from your AI provider, GymLeader can send the brief straight from your iPhone to that provider (Anthropic or OpenAI), only after your explicit consent each time. The request does not go through our servers and we do not receive it. The key is stored in this iPhone's Keychain, is not synced, is not included in backups and is deleted by “Erase all data”. The provider bills your key and handles the data under its own policy. GymLeader has no partnership with any AI provider.
- Apple Intelligence on the device, on compatible models: the brief stays on your iPhone.
A plan you receive is never saved until you have reviewed and confirmed it.
Purchases
Any purchase of GymLeader Pro is handled by the App Store. We do not receive or keep payment details. “Restore purchases” uses your Apple Account.
Support messages
If you write to us, we use your address and the content of your message only to reply and solve the problem, and keep them only as long as needed. Legal basis: your message and our legitimate interest in providing support. You can ask for access, correction or erasure by writing to the address above, and you can contact your data protection authority.
Retention and deletion
Data stays as long as you keep it on the device. In Account › Privacy & security you can erase everything (including the API key); uninstalling the app removes it from the device.
Children
GymLeader is not designed for children and does not collect data about them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we publish the new version here with its effective date.
