Who is this app for

Is this app for me if I only sell online, with no physical store?

Yes — that’s exactly who it’s for. A pure e-commerce business has no obligation to transmit daily takings telematically (that obligation applies only to merchants who also have a physical point of sale using POS/RT hardware), but if you’re under standard VAT accounting (regime IVA ordinario), you still have to keep a cumulative daily record of your takings in the Registro dei Corrispettivi (Art. 24, D.P.R. 633/1972).

Does this app send my corrispettivi to the Agenzia delle Entrate?

No. Telematic transmission of daily takings is a different obligation, reserved for merchants with a physical point of sale using Shopify POS and RT (registratore telematico) hardware — already covered by other apps. This app builds and keeps your register; it does not transmit anything to tax authorities on your behalf.

I have a physical store too — can I still use this app?

The app is built for the pure e-commerce case. If you also operate a physical point of sale with its own telematic transmission obligations, talk to your accountant about how the two record sets should be reconciled.

My business isn’t based in Italy — can I still use this app?

No. The app computes an Italian tax record-keeping obligation that only applies to merchants based in Italy under the ordinary VAT regime. If your business isn’t based in Italy, this app isn’t relevant to you.

I’m on the Italian flat-rate tax regime (“regime forfettario”) — do I need this app?

Probably not. The Registro dei Corrispettivi obligation applies to merchants under the ordinary VAT regime; the regime forfettario generally follows different, simplified bookkeeping rules. Check with your accountant before subscribing.

The Registro dei Corrispettivi

What does the app actually record?

For each day, a breakdown of your Shopify sales by VAT rate (22/10/5/4%), correctly separating non-taxable (art. 8) and VAT-exempt (art. 10) transactions and OSS sales, with same-day reversals for refunds.

Why can’t a refund change a past day’s record?

Closed daily records are not edited retroactively, consistent with well-established Italian bookkeeping practice — a refund is always recorded as a reversal on the day it happens, never backdated onto the original sale’s day.

Invoicing & double counting

Why are some of my orders excluded from the register?

An order with invoice data (VAT number, tax code, or SDI code) captured at checkout is excluded from the corrispettivi total, because it belongs in your invoicing records instead — including it in both would double-count the VAT (per Agenzia delle Entrate FAQ n. 45 of 21 December 2018).

Plans & billing

What’s the difference between the plans?

Free gives you the corrispettivi register for a single day or a whole calendar month — any date, any month, including ones already closed — up to 20 orders/month viewable (every order is still recorded on any plan; the cap only affects what you can view, and each month is judged on its own). Grow ($4.99/month or $49.90/year) raises that to 100 orders/month and adds interval views (last 7 days, last 30 days, a full year, custom From/To), reconciliation, and export. Unlimited ($9.99/month or $99.90/year) removes the monthly order cap entirely and adds automatic sending to your accountant, including through your own SMTP server, plus priority support on requests from the in-app Support page. See Pricing for the current breakdown.

Can I change or cancel my plan any time?

Yes, at any time from inside the app — billing runs through Shopify’s Billing API.

Data & privacy

Does the app read my customers’ personal data?

No — the app reads order data (amounts, VAT, payment/refund status) using Shopify’s read_orders scope. It does not request access to your customer records.

Where is my data stored?

On Google Cloud Firestore, in the EU (europe-west1), reachable only by the app’s own backend.

What happens to my data if I uninstall the app?

Your SMTP credentials and Shopify sessions are deleted immediately. Everything else — including the register itself — is permanently deleted 48 hours after uninstall, via Shopify’s shop/redact webhook. Export your register first if you want to keep it.

Does an accountant or archival provider need to be involved?

The app exports your register as PDF, CSV and Excel (.xlsx) — the Excel file uses real numbers for amounts and spreadsheet formulas for the totals, built for handing to your accountant — ready either way for your accountant or storage provider. It does not perform digital signature, timestamping, or electronic archival (conservazione sostitutiva) itself, and does not connect to a paid accredited conservator.

This app helps you keep the required records — it does not replace your accountant, and it is not a guarantee of tax compliance. See the Terms of Service for the full picture.
